The Dirty Shirley sits in a beautiful spot between vintage British crunch and modern Friedman refinement. It has the looseness and harmonic complexity that make old-school rock tones feel alive, along with the bigger lows, rich mids and polished response Friedman amps are known for.

From open, touch-sensitive crunch to thick, singing gain, this is an amp that rewards your hands. Back off your guitar volume and it cleans up beautifully. Dig in harder and it growls right back.

The Cabinets

Among the cabinet tones used in this pack is a Sunn 4x12 loaded with Celestion Creamback M65 and H75 speakers. This combination gives the Dirty Shirley plenty of weight and punch while balancing the woody midrange of the M65 with the firmer response and added clarity of the H75.

The 2x12 tones include a ported Genz Benz 2x12 loaded with a Celestion Creamback and Greenback. The ported enclosure adds punch and low-end dimension, while the mixed speaker pairing delivers warmth, grind and classic British character.

Using multiple cabinet options gives you noticeably different flavors of the Dirty Shirley rather than simply repeating the same speaker and enclosure combination throughout the pack.

The Sound

Expect big British-style crunch, thick harmonically rich mids, punchy lows and an organic response that never feels overly compressed or processed.

At moderate gain settings, DShirl delivers that chewy, slightly hairy crunch that makes classic-rock riffs jump out of the speakers. Push it harder and the amp develops a thick, vocal quality that works beautifully for hard-rock rhythms and sustaining lead tones.
